Pre Season O Series is made up of four swims, two at Long Bay and two at Kohimarama. There are three distances 5km, 2.5km and 1km. It is designed to cater for all swimmers and especially long distance swimmers that are looking to bank kms in race conditions and also 

KOHI SWIM

Distances
5 km - Kohi to Whitestick at Ladies Bay, to Green Stick at Mission Bay - Kohi
3.4 km - Kohi out and back 
1.2 km - Kohi out and back

1km $20 / $15 (student)

Timeline
9.00 - Registration  
9.45 - Briefing 
10.00 - 5 km first wave
10.15 - 2nd briefing 5 km & 3.4 km
10.30 - 5 km second wave & 3.4 km 
10.45 - 1.2 km start  

Course 
All Swims start and finish at Kohimarama. The course is adjusted for the incoming tide. HT 2pm.  
5 km - Swimming clockwise, all markers on your right shoulder. Last marker by the beach, have that on your left shoulder. Run up the beach to finish at the flags. 

3.5 km - Clockwise, all markers on your right shoulder. Last marker by the beach, have that on your left shoulder. Run up the beach to finish.

​1.2 km - Out and back. 

Caution
Pre Season sea water is cooler and swimmers are advised to wear a wetsuit for personal protection and safety. 
A towfloat is advised for swimmer safety and visibility.

COVID Caution
The Series is limited to Alert Levels 2 and 1
All Swimmers & Spectators will register for COVID tracing 
Maintain 2m distance at all times 
Spectators - wearing a mask is advised
Stay within your bubble group at the swim site
