There are five swims to four islands and two reefs. There is also the swim around Rotoroa island so five islands in total. You need to be an experienced swimmer to take on the long swims.
Waiheke Island: One way is 3 km, return swim is 6 km
Shorter option: 2 km return (turn around at the channel marker 1km out from Rotoroa).
Pakatoa Island (via Frenchman's Gap): Start at Cable Bay, the triangle is 3.5 km.
Shorter option, 2 km return at Frenchman's Gap.
Chamberlins Island: One way is 2.5 km, return via Chamberlins Reef total distance is 5 km.
Shorter Option, 2 km return.
Tarahiki Island (Shag Island): One way is 3.5 km
Shorter option - 2 km return
Around Rotoroa: Total swim is 6 km.
Shorter option, Half Rotoroa.

Day 1: Waiheke Island
Day 2: Two swims, Chamberlain Is. & Tarahiki Island ( am / pm )
Day 3: Pakatoa Island via Frenchman's Gap
Day 4: Swim around Rotoroa
Day 5: Farewell swim Half Is. departure in the afternoon.

Swims are group swims operated on group safety. Speed groups will swim together as a pod with a dedicated craft (kayak or IRB). When it is safe to do so swimmers can toe it alone especially on the return leg of a swim.
There is plenty of time between swims to explore and enjoy Rotoroa Island.
